The Old Thatch is a traditional stone built cottage with a marram grass roof. The exact age of the cottage is unknown, but it is believed to be several hundred years old.
The cottage is small but perfectly formed, providing comfortable accommodation for 2 people. Given the traditional nature of the building there are areas of restricted head height and some narrow doorways.
The Old Thatch is well equiped, sympathetically decorated and full of character.
The accommodation consists of just two main rooms:
The Living Room
This incorporates the kitchen and dining area which has a Belfast sink, an electric range style cooker.
Sofa, fire place with electric stove, TV/DVD, wi-fi
The Bedroom
Has a window to the front looking across open grazing towards the sea. It features a full sized double bed and a luxury roll top slipper bath. In the corner of the room is a small separate wc (or ‘An Taigh Beag’).
Outside
There is a small garden to the front of the cottage with a bench to sit and enjoy the views.
